Parental responsibility is defined as: • The natural mother of the child named in the birth certificate. • The natural father if married to the mother at the time of the birth or subsequently, if named on the birth certificate or if he has a parental responsibility agreement with the mother or has a parental responsibility order from the court. • A person awarded a residence order, Special Guardianship Order or an Adoption Order. If you have any queries regarding parental responsibility, please contact the Admissions Officer. If you answered NO to the 'parental responsibility' question, we will get in touch with you for further details).
Parental / Carer's Declaration: • I understand that if my child is considered for a place at The New School and is subject to our oversubscription criteria, I might be asked for additional information. • I understand that I will be informed about the success of the application by the 31st of March 2020. No offers will be made before this date. • I understand that when I receive an offer of a place, I will need to respond to the offer within the timescale given in the offer letter or the offer may be withdrawn. • I understand that once my child has been allocated a place, I may have to complete a second form, or I may be contacted to provide further details about my child and will also need to provide a copy of my child's birth certificate. • I understand that if my child is admitted to The New School, they will attend from the start of the Autumn term September 2020 (term dates to be released by March 2020) unless the school and I agree to defer entry. 6 Admissions application form • I confirm that the information on this form is correct, and I understand that the offer of a place may be withdrawn by The New School if this application is found to be based on fraudulent or misleading information.
